CONRAD RESIDENCES RENOVATED
The Conrad Bangkok has completed a 46 million baht renovation of its Residences serviced appartments on Wireless Road.
The seven-storey property features 112 rooms ranging from studio suites to one and two-bedroom deluxe suites. Each room is renovated with new furnishings and decor including kitchen equipment, Wi-Fi, LCD TV, a Sony PlayStation 3 and a electronic key card security system.
“We are seeing solid demand for our long-term serviced residences within the expatriate community,” said Conrad Bangkok Residences General Manager Manfred Pieper. He added that the demand also stems from Bangkok’s popularity as a medical tourism destination.
PATA INITIATES DISASTER RELIEF FUND
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) has initiated a disaster relief fund and is urging its members and the general public to assist the victims of typhoons, earthquakes and tsunami in South East Asia and the South Pacific.
“It is vitally important that we act quickly to raise the much-needed funds to assist in the relief efforts,” said Pata CEO Greg Duffell. “I’m now appealing to our members and the wider tourism community to contribute in a practical and meaningful way by supporting the Pata disaster relief fund,” he added.
