Transfer Passenger Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport renovated
BANGKOK, 24 October 2009 (NNT) – The Airports of Thailand (AOT) has renovated the Transfer Passenger Lounge to facilitate and serve the passengers better while they are waiting for their flights at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Mr. Nirun Teeranatsin, Director of AOT, said that Suvarnabhumi Airport had improved its services and facilities to meet customer requirements by renovating the 400 square meters of concourse terminal B to be a Transfer Passenger Lounge. This would be a day room type in which 28 recliner sofas, television programs on entertainment and edutainment would be set up. A kids playground has been built near the Transfer Passenger Lounge as well.
Statistics showed that the number of the passengers in the Transfer Passenger Lounge was at 4 million people per year or 10% of the total amount of the passengers who used Suvarnabhumi Airport and this number was expected to grow in the future. Therefore, the Transfer Passenger Lounge has been renovated to meet customer requirements.
Aiming at reaching the top ten of the world’s Airports and becoming the regional airport hub, Suvarnabhumi Airport will not stop improving facilities and innovations to serve the passengers to the best of its ability.
