Canadian PM to visit S. Korea next month
SEOUL, Nov 2 (Yonhap) — Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper will visit South Korea next month for summit talks with President Lee Myung-bak on ways to promote economic cooperation, Seoul’s presidential office said Monday.
Harper will arrive on Dec. 6 and meet with Lee on Dec. 7. The two leaders will discuss developing a “special partnership” between their nations and share views on trade, energy and resources cooperation, the office said.
The leaders, who have already met twice this year, will also discuss ways to cooperate in hosting the upcoming G-20 summit meetings in June and November next year, it said in a release.
The June meeting will take place in Canada, and South Korea will host the November summit. (Yonhap)
