Thai automobile export growing up continuously

BANGKOK, 24 March 2010 (NNT) – The Thai automobile export figure in February 2010 stood at 74,063 units, a 66.03% increase year-on-year, according to the Automotive Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries.

Club Spokesperson, Surapong Paisitpatnapong, reported that the export figure had risen by 26.55% when compared with the January 2010 figure with the total sales of 34.767 billion THB.

In addition, Thailand’s automobile exports stood at 132,588 units during the first two months of 2010 or 62.9 billion THB, a 44.46% increase from last year.

The spokesperson added that a 109% increase or 127,849 cars had been produced in February alone with 231,698 units manufactured from January to February this year. The production figure for the first two months has expanded by 73.53% year-on-year.
