72 of bloodshed, 23 of Silom blast remain hospitalized

BANGKOK, 25 April 2010 (NNT) – A total of 72 people injured from the violence still remain under close medical surveillance in hospitals.

According to the latest report released by the Erawan Emergency of the , 72 out of 839 victims of the clash between the troops and the of Democracy against (UDD) protestors are presently receiving medical treatment in hospitals. Five of whom are in the (ICU), consisting of three at Phramongkutklao and one each at , 9 Hospital. A total of 25 fatalities were reported in the incident.

Meanwhile, 23 out of 80 people wounded from recent Silom grenade blasts remained hospitalized so far. Of these, seven were currently admitted at Lerdsin Hospital, nine at Chulalongkorn Hospital – one of them is now in the ICU unit, and one each at , Hua Chiew Hospital, and Bangpakok Hospital. A total of one death was reported on the scene.
