Pakistani leader killed by Afghan forces

ISLAMABAD ()– Pakistani leader Maulvi Fazlullah was reportedly killed along with his six other commanders in Nuristan province of Afghanistan Wednesday night, however Pakistani denied the report.

Pakistani leader Maulvi said that it was unfounded and baseless, according to local media.

Fazlullah’s death was confirmed by Afghan officials but NATO officials are keeping mum over the issue.

“It would be a jolt to in Pakistan,” commented Shah, the former Secretary of the Federally Administered (FATA).

However, disagreeing with Afghan authorities that Fazlullah was killed during fighting with Afghan forces, Shah said, “He was not a fighter and was handicapped with imputed legs.”

“It looks like that he had escaped into Afghanistan and was captured and killed,” the security analyst and former Pakistani official said.

Fazlullah, 31, was chief of the banned group Tehrik Nifaz -e-Muhammadi (TNSM) in the restive Swat area, an ally of Tehrik Pakistan (TTP). He was son-in-law of the national network of the disbanded TNSM Chief Sufi Muhammad in the troubled tribal areas of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan.

Fazlullah was infamous as “ Radio” for running a FM radio station disseminating extremist views of in the troubled area.
