Emergency Decree not re-imposed in Nakhon Sawan yet

The Government has no plan to re-impose the state of emergency in the central province of although violence was recently spotted in the area, according to Secretary-General of the (NSC), Pleansri.

Mr affirmed that the re-enforcement of the emergency rule, especially in , had not been reviewed yet. However, he admitted that some underground movements of ill-intentioned people were reported continuously, particularly in the provinces without the special law enforcement.

Mr Sirichai, chief of the Provincial (PAO) was shot in the neck at 23.00 hrs on 2010 and passed away in the early morning of the next day at Sawan Pracharak Hospital.

The assassination took place in , where the state of emergency was just lifted. Prime Minister earlier was adamant that the case must be investigated if it was linked to the national political issue or not.

Mr recently declared himself to join the coalition Bhumjaithai Party led by Chavarat Charnvirakul. He was seen as promising political rising star, showing confidence that his team would sweep House seats for in the next election with the existing staunch support from locals.
